Each class has a unique set of skills at their disposal and each of these skills complements the style of play expected of both the faction and the class. One can think of skills as more than just a boost in abilities, such do exist, but the majority are essentially 'spells' or something similar. For example, the Summoner has a wide variety of summoning skills that allow the character to raise legions of creatures to fight at his side. On the other hand, the majority of the blademaster's skills either improve his fighting abilities or allow for new sorts of melee attacks.
